Think Beyond Psych does not perform initial ADHD diagnostic evaluations and does not provide ADHD testing. You cannot schedule here to find out whether you have ADHD.

What is offered is ongoing medication management for adults who already have an established ADHD diagnosis with supporting records from the provider who made it. If you need the diagnosis first, Jesse is glad to point you toward providers who do evaluations, and you are welcome to come back afterward.

Who this page is for

Adults who were diagnosed somewhere else — recently or years ago — and now need someone to manage the treatment. Maybe your prescriber left, or you moved, or you were being seen in a system where the appointment was five minutes and you never got to ask anything.

If that is you, and you can produce documentation of the diagnosis, this is a practice that will take the treatment seriously rather than just continuing what was already written.

What "supporting records" means

Documentation from the provider who diagnosed you. Send or bring whatever you have when you reach out, and Jesse will tell you whether it is sufficient before you schedule, so you are not paying for an appointment that cannot accomplish anything. If it turns out not to be enough, we will say so plainly and help you work out the next step.

What the appointments look like

The initial evaluation is still 60 minutes, because inheriting someone's treatment properly takes that long. We go through what you were diagnosed with and when, what has been tried, what worked and at what cost, how you are sleeping, and what parts of your life are actually still hard.

Follow-ups are 25 minutes. Stimulant medication may be prescribed for patients with an established diagnosis and supporting records. Benzodiazepines are not prescribed in this practice at all.

ADHD is rarely the only thing in the room

Anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and the accumulated effect of years of being told you were careless often travel with it. Treating the ADHD in isolation and ignoring the rest tends not to work very well, so we look at the whole picture rather than just the dose.

If you need an evaluation

Call Jesse anyway. Helping you find the right provider is a five-minute conversation that saves you a lot of searching, and there is no expectation attached to it. Once you have a diagnosis, the door here is open.

In person in Spokane, or telehealth across Washington

The Spokane office is at 9631 N Nevada St, Suite 209. Telehealth is available to adults anywhere in Washington. Controlled substance prescribing has its own rules about visit format, and Jesse will walk you through what applies to your situation.

Insurance

Think Beyond Psych is in-network with most major Washington plans, including Premera Blue Cross, Regence BlueShield, Asuris Northwest Health, First Choice Health, First Health Network, Kaiser, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and URM. Jesse verifies your specific benefits before the first appointment so you know what to expect rather than finding out afterward. This list is not complete, so if you don’t see your plan, ask anyway and Jesse will check.

We are not able to see patients covered by Medicaid, Apple Health, or other state-funded programs — including as self-pay. This is a federal patient protection rule, not a preference. If that is your coverage, Jesse will gladly help point you toward providers who accept it.
